  I'll always be an architect, but now I am of the retired variety. Architects build first in their minds; then on paper, and finally, their creations rise from the ground. So it is with writers. They create stories in their heads, plan them out in detail, and then build word structures stacking words like bricks one after another to form a book. It's a similar satisfying creative process and something I enjoy. I've been writing for several decades.

Years ago, I had an idea for a children's picture book about a cute young racehorse named Eggplant who needed a dose of understanding and confidence. But I never had the time to find an illustrator. Then Ai arrived on the scene. I wrote the story in about a month and created images using the Mid Journey program massaged in Photoshop. I was pleased with the final product, and Eggplant was up and running.

  Spin-master "winners" write history as books that become the "truth." The characters of the future in my Time Travel Twins series suspect that history is fabricated and tweaked. They time travel to change the past and provide a better world. My writing of their travels attempts to explain other possible interpretations of various historical events while maintaining the core of historical facts. All my novels reassemble "facts" to create factual fiction and sometimes alternative "history."

My readers nurture and sustain my writing addiction. I listen to their ideas, comments, and suggestions, incorporating them into my work. But I only write about events and people that interest me. Usually, the recommendations provide the little nuances, interpretations, and elements of veritas, which act like mortar between the storylines of word bricks, implying credibility and soundness. Like the oldest buildings, the best books are designed to weather the test of time.
